Wasabi peas on a salad?

Oh. My.  Gosh.  Yes, yes, and yes!


Seriously, I don't even know what to say about this.  I mean, what did Leonardo DaVinci have to say about the Mona Lisa?  Okay, that may be a bit of a stretch.  Let's just say I love it, I'm eating it now, I'll be eating it for the rest of my life, and I think that you should, too!


Wasabi Pea Salad with Sesame Dressing

Sesame Dressing
Yield: about 1 1/2 cups
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup rice vinegar
3 tbsp sugar
2 cloves garlic, crushed
4 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp ginger, minced or grated finely
1/2 tsp sriracha ("whaddya put that in everything?"  Yes, yes, I pretty much do)
1/2 cup olive oil

Combine all ingredients except for olive oil.  Slowly stream in olive oil while whisking.  Store in airtight bottle in fridge for up to two weeks.

Salad:

Spring Mix
Carrots
Red and Green Onions
Wasabi Peas
Avocado
Edamame (if you have it, I didn't)

What can I say?  It's a salad!  The only rule here is to add the avocado last, so it doesn't get all mashed up when you combine.  Otherwise, just do your thing!

  1. Hi Jenny, I don't post on the CF, but I saw your blog link yesterday. Today when I found out your thread had been pulled I asked why. I'm still trying to find out why it's ok for some to link to their blogs and not others. Did they tell you why your thread was pulled? I would have emailed you, but you don't have that option on your member page.
